Plain Jane is a well known brand that specializes in CBD flower. They are located in southern Oregon and their goal is to make hemp flower products more accessible and affordable to consumers. All of their CBD flower products are sourced from small American family farms. They have over 20 strains that are grown indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses.
While they are known for their hemp flower, they have begun expanding into other CBD products as well. In this review, we’re taking a look at their CBD oil.
I hope you enjoy this Plain Jane CBD oil review! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Plain Jane’s full-spectrum CBD oil has a light gold appearance to it. Generally, the more processed a CBD oil is, the lighter the color will be. Less processed CBD oils tend to be dark brown, gold, or green. Since Plain Jane doesn’t talk about their extraction method on their website, I’m not sure why it’s such a light color.
When you take off the plastic wrapping and unscrew the dropper and open the bottle, you’re greeted with a mild cannabis smell. As soon as I smelled it I knew this was going to be a good product.
I got the natural flavored tincture. Personally, I like the taste of hemp (most of the time). There was nothing unpleasant about the taste of Plain Jane’s full-spectrum CBD oil.
My dosage for this product has been around 100 mg. With their 1,000 mg bottle, that’s about 3 full droppers of CBD oil. Overall, I was pleasantly happy with the effects. It’s not a CBD oil that’s going to couch you, but it is mildly relaxing. I’m sure if I took a larger dose of 150+ mg it would be a different story.
Since this is a full-spectrum CBD oil, it produces what is known as the entourage effect. This phenomenon demonstrates that the therapeutic capabilities and effectiveness of each compound in the cannabis plant amplifies and combines for superior overall results.
In my opinion, Plain Jane CBD oil is ideal for:
As with every CBD product, there is no standard dose and some experimentation is required to determine the best dose for you.
Everyone is wired differently. How CBD affects one person will be different from how it affects another.
Generally, if you’re a first time user, I recommend starting with 25-50 mg and adjusting from there. The effects can take up to 3 hours to kick in, so please keep that in mind.
Also, depending on what you eat, the effects can be even more intense. High fat meals amplify the effects of full-spectrum CBD oils.
Whenever you take Plain Jane CBD oil, hold it under your tongue for a good minute before swallowing. There are blood vessels and capillaries under our tongues that are able to absorb the CBD and other cannabinoids. This allows some of the CBD to bypass our liver and digestive system and go straight into our bloodstream.
Like with most CBD products out there, you pay less per mg the stronger the dose.
These are the prices before applying the discount code CBDREVIEWLAB:
Plain Jane’s 5,000 mg tincture is their best priced product. When looking at the price per mg, you’re paying $.01 per mg of CBD, which is some of the cheapest CBD oil you’ll find on the market. You do pay a little more up front, but in the long run you pay less.
All of the products from Plain Jane are third-party tested by Kaycha Labs. Kaycha Labs offers a commitment to excellence in cannabis testing, which allows their labs to provide accurate and consistent cannabis testing services.
After reviewing the lab results there were no red flags. So you can have some peace of mind knowing Plain Jane offers a safe and high-quality product.
If you would like to check out their lab results for yourself, you can find them on their website, www.plainjane.com. They include the lab results on each product page in the images.
You can order Plain Jane products on their website and in select stores. Overall I had a positive experience using their website. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate.
At this time, they only ship domestically, so they don’t ship outside of the United States.
They strive to get all packages shipped out within 1-3 business days, and time of arrival depends on the shipping method you choose. They do offer free shipping for domestic orders over $40, so you could save a little money by getting over that threshold.
You can return most unopened, unused products within 7 days of receiving it. For their return process, visit https://plainjane.com/shipping-returns/.
Yes! Plain Jane CBD is a legit CBD company with legit CBD products! I couldn’t recommend them enough, especially with how cheap the price per mg is. There are a lot of CBD products out there that are cheap like Plain Jane, but don’t produce any effects. You’re going to feel Plain Jane’s CBD oil!
Simply squirt your preferred dose under your tongue and hold it there for a minute. The CBD is able to enter the bloodstream via the salivary glands and varicose veins under the tongue. Then swallow the CBD and within a couple hours the effects will start to kick in.
In short, YES! If taken in a large enough dose, Plain Jane CBD can get you high.
Unlike THC, CBD by itself does not make a person feel “high” or intoxicated. That’s because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body. However, if you take a large dose of a full-spectrum CBD product like Plain Jane, the effects can be indistinguishable from being high.
There are still many cannabinoids in the cannabis plant that have yet to be studied, and the “high” you get from cannabis may not just be from THC.
While Plain Jane CBD is made from the hemp plant and is federally legal, it is a full-spectrum product. This means that it contains 100+ cannabinoids, including a small amount of THC (less than .3%). So it’s quite possible you may fail a drug test if you take Plain Jane.
If you are subject to drug testing, whether at work or for a sport, you should be cautious with all CBD products.
Yes. The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp from the legal definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act. This made some hemp-derived CBD products with less than 0.3 percent THC federally legal. However, CBD products containing more than 0.3 percent THC still fall under the legal definition of marijuana, making them federally illegal but legal under some state laws. Be sure to check state laws, especially when traveling.
No, Plain Jane does not have an Ebay or Amazon store. So if you find their oil on one of those sites do not order it.
The best way to order their products is through their website.
I hope this Plain Jane CBD oil review was helpful! If you were considering trying out Plain Jane, I say go for it! They offer one of the cheapest full-spectrum CBD oils on the market, and the effects are great. I highly recommend them.
